Here’s what’s new at Torch and a sneak peek at the updates coming soon.
What’s new
We’re bringing leadership capacities into the Torch coaching experience.
Today’s business environment demands more from leaders than ever before. Traditional leadership skills alone aren’t enough to navigate the complexity and rapid change organizations face.
Instead, leaders need to tap into something deeper: their capacity to reframe how they think, connect, and create impact. These deeper patterns, what we call leadership capacities, develop over time and continuously evolve to meet new challenges.
We are excited to share more with you about how we’re incorporating leadership capacities into the Torch coaching experience over the coming months, starting with these just-launched features:
Organizational Insights report recommends leadership capacities to focus on.
The Organizational Insights report helps you see a clear picture of the challenges your employees are facing by analyzing all participant and feedback provider responses to the 360 assessment question “What leadership challenges, problems, or issues do you see in your organization?”.
Based on the top organizational challenges your people see, we now recommend the top 3 leadership capacities your people should focus on.

Coaching Themes report identifies the top leadership capacities participants are developing.
The Coaching Themes report aggregates coach-reported theme data across all of your participants to provide real-time data and unbiased feedback about what your participants are working on in coaching.
Based on the most popular topics from your organization’s coaching conversations, the report now identifies the top 3 leadership capacities your participants are developing.

Coming soon
Easier meeting scheduling and management for participants.
We’re giving the meeting scheduler a new look and feel that makes it easier for participants to schedule and manage their coaching meetings. With these improvements, the end-to-end meeting scheduling experience will meet all accessibility guidelines.

Leadership capacities for new programs will be shared with coaches.
Coaches will soon be able to reference the leadership capacities associated with new programs from their coach dashboard. When getting a new coaching program started, you’ll work with your Torch account team to establish your coaching needs and program context - That information will be used to determine the leadership capacities for your program.
Coaches will see the selected leadership capacities for all new partnerships, including groups and teams, in a new section of their “Key information” tab. By displaying them in the same place as the details about your organization’s unique culture and goals, we ensure leadership capacities stay top-of-mind for coaches so they can work with your leaders on what is needed most.

We’re saying goodbye to the Learning Goals feature on April 30th.
With the introduction of the new Coaching Themes report, which gives you access to real-time insights about your participants’ developmental focuses, we’ve decided to retire the Learning Goals feature.
Starting on April 30th, Learning Goals will be removed from all new coaching partnerships. Participants with past or in-progress partnerships will still be able to view any previously created Learning Goals.
