This article explains what coaching information is shared, who can see it, and for what purpose, as well as what is never shared. We’ve detailed the privacy policy for each feature area below to give you full confidence in how your data is handled.
Coach matching
Who sees what, and why?

Coaching meetings
Who sees what, and why?

Coaching meetings (dates and if completed) - Your company admins can see when your coaching meetings are scheduled and if they’ve been completed. This helps them keep track of overall coaching activity.

Meeting details (title, date, status, invitees, and attendance) - Your company admins and Torch can see this information. It helps Torch troubleshoot if there’s an issue, like during customer support requests.

Themes discussed in coaching - Your coach chooses high-level themes from your sessions (e.g. improving team performance, building trust with colleagues). Torch anonymizes this information, combines it with data from other coaching participants at your organization, and shares it with your company admins. This helps them see common trends in coaching topics across the organization, but no personal details are included.
Note: To further protect your privacy, information about themes discussed in coaching is only shared with your company admins if there are several people from your organization participating in coaching.
What is never shared
- Transcripts, notes, or anything that can personally identify you - This information is never shared with your company admins or with Torch.
Messages
Who sees what, and why?
- Messages between you and your coach - Your messages are private and only seen by you and your coach. They’re used to help you communicate during your coaching partnership.

360 assessment
Who sees what, and why?

Individual completion rates of the 360 assessment - Your company admins see this to make sure everyone completes the assessment as part of their coaching.

Your personal 360 assessment results - These are seen by you and your coach to support your growth while staying private within your coaching partnership. Torch may also see your results if needed to resolve a customer support issue.

Anonymized leadership skill areas - These are combined and shared with your company admins to show where the company is strong and where it can improve.

Written responses about organizational challenges - Individual responses are anonymized and analyzed by AI, then shared with your company admins to highlight common challenges noticed by coaching participants and the people who provided feedback.

- Your personal 360 assessment results or anything that identifies you - These are never seen by your company admins or the people who provided feedback for your assessment.
Colleague feedback
Who sees what, and why?

Who sees what, and why?

Individual survey responses - These are combined, anonymized, and shared with your company admins and your coach to show overall satisfaction and growth from Torch coaching.

Written comments about your coaching experience - These are anonymized and shared with your company admins and your coach to provide feedback on the impact of coaching in participants’ lives.

What is never shared
- Your personal survey responses or anything that identifies you - These are never seen by your company admins.
Spark AI
Who sees what, and why?

Your Spark conversations - Your conversations with Spark are private. They are used to support your individual development and to keep conversations relevant over time.

Coaching activity - Your company admins and Torch can see high-level activity information, such as when you interacted with Spark and for how long. This helps understand overall engagement with coaching tools.

Anonymized, aggregated themes - Torch analyzes Spark conversations across many participants to identify common themes, such as focus areas or leadership topics being discussed. These insights are anonymized, combined across users, and shared with your company admins only to understand organization-wide trends.
For example, if many participants are working through topics like executive presence or managing change, those themes may appear in aggregated reporting. Individual conversations, names, and specific details are never shared.
Note: Aggregated themes are shared only when at least three people are using Spark at the same organizational, functional, or team level.
What is never shared

Conversation transcripts, quotes, or recordings - Your company admins cannot see transcripts, excerpts, or anything you said to Spark.

Information that identifies you personally - Individual conversation details are never linked back to you.

Audio recordings - Audio from voice conversations with Spark is not stored.
Data removal requests

Spark conversations cannot be deleted directly in the platform.

If you would like to request removal of your Spark conversation data, go to the Request Support button in the upper right corner of any page on help.torch.io. Torch will handle requests in accordance with applicable data privacy requirements.
Is Spark secure?
Yes. Spark follows Torch’s enterprise security and privacy standards. Spark also follows Torch’s privacy commitments and does not use customer data to train AI models.

Learning goals
Note: The learning goals feature will only be a part of your coaching experience if your partnership started before April 30, 2025.
