We are excited to release new enhancements to the New Torch Managed Coaching Platform on Saturday, June 3. In addition, preview upcoming changes to the Torch platform in the coming weeks.
New Torch Managed Coaching Platform Enhancements
Adding two new participant disengagement escalations. The new “First meeting not scheduled” and “No meeting scheduled” escalations are now available in managed coaching cohorts to highlight participants who have not scheduled their first or next meeting. This enhancement will apply to new cohorts and cohorts in progress, so you may see an increase in your escalation count as a result of this launch. Learn more about each escalation in this Knowledge Base article.

Upcoming Platform Changes
In June, Torch will be making several changes in order to simplify and streamline both the user and admin experiences. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you have any concerns or questions.
June 9, 2023
Removing underutilized features. Torch will be removing underutilized admin reports and user navigation elements. This will include:
- Admin reports
- Path template
- Path
- Learners
- Content
- Surveys (“Surveys (beta)” will remain)
- Meetings
- Feedback
- Quizzes
| NOTE: For programs containing legacy meetings, feedback, or quiz resources, clicking “See report” on an individual resource in the path progress view will continue to provide access to data. |
- End user experience
- Browse and Community tabs
- Search icon in the main navigation bar
- Content recommendations on the home page
Simplifying out of the box content. Managed Coaching programs in New Torch created after June 9th will have simplified partnership path content in order to keep users focused on their most critical tasks.
We will be taking the following actions:
- Removing extraneous resources, namely “Practice new skills,” “Develop a strategy for overcoming obstacles,” “Reflect on your growth,” and “Keep fostering a strong relationship.”
- Removing all but the first prepopulated meeting resource. Additional meetings will automatically be added to the path as they’re scheduled.
- Updating the default survey reminder notification text.
Each of your programs may be customized, so remember to view the content for your specific programs when you have questions about your users’ experience.
June 24, 2023
Updating default Torch branding. The default Torch branding will be getting a new look. If you’re using our custom branding feature, this update will not impact your users, with the exception of the navigation text color. The navigation text color will change from white to black, so it is recommended to update any dark custom branding to a lighter color scheme to ensure the text will still be visible. Tenant admins can update this directly in the platform by following these instructions. In addition, the admin sidebar will no longer support custom branding.

Renaming escalations. For all programs, “Escalations” will be renamed “Action items.” The underlying functionality will not change.
Mid-Summer 2023
Enrollment path updates for Torch Managed Coaching. We are excited to roll out a reimagined coaching experience throughout the coming year. As a first step towards this new experience, we will be making improvements to the participant enrollment path for new programs.
We know that the onboarding process is crucial to setting participants up for success, so they can hit the ground running with their coaches. To quick-start your participant’s coaching journey, expect the following updates to the enrollment path for participants of your new programs (existing programs will not be impacted):
- All participants begin their enrollment with an overview of what to expect from Torch Coaching, how it benefits them, and how they can be successful with the experience.
- The match profile flow is improved to reduce time needed to match with a coach.
