How will I know a participant’s 360 Assessment is ready to be reviewed and released?

You’ll be notified by email when a participant’s 360 Assessment results are eligible for release. One of the following criteria must be met:

  • The participant has completed their self-assessment AND all the colleagues they invited to provide feedback have done so.

  • At least 5 of the colleagues the participant invited to provide feedback have done so.

Before you release the results, we recommend that you first confirm the participant has received feedback from the expected colleagues, including their manager. You should also review the results and written feedback to ensure they’re ready for release.

How do I review a participant’s 360 results before releasing them?

You’ll get an email notification when a participant’s 360 results are eligible for release. Click the button in the email to access and review the 360 results.

What should I check before releasing 360 results to a participant?

Once 360 results are released, they cannot be “unreleased” and no additional feedback can be accepted. With this in mind, it’s important to check the following before releasing 360 results:

  • Did the participant receive feedback from at least 5 colleagues? We recommend a minimum of 5 colleague responses, but encourage as many as possible to ensure well-rounded feedback. If the participant hasn’t met the 5-response minimum, encourage them to send a reminder to non-responders or invite more colleagues to share feedback.

  • Were key colleagues invited? If key stakeholders weren’t initially invited, like the person’s manager or any direct reports, the participant can invite them to provide feedback at any time up until the results are released.

  • Did the participant’s manager submit feedback? In most cases it’s essential that feedback from the participant’s manager is included in the results. If the manager hasn’t responded, a personal reminder from the participant can help encourage them to respond.

  • Did you review the written feedback for any inflammatory or attacking language? If you find comments that may be detrimental to a participant’s well-being, to the point where you feel you cannot release the results without resolving, please escalate to Torch support to discuss potential next steps. To do this, click Request support in the top-right.

What should I do if multiple weeks have passed and there are some colleagues who still haven’t provided feedback?

In these instances, you may decide to release the 360 Assessment results in the interest of moving the process along. This is discouraged if you’re still waiting for feedback from key stakeholders, like the participant’s manager.

When should I release 360 results to a participant?

Once the release criteria have been met and you’ve reviewed the results, we recommend that you release the 360 results during a meeting with the participant. This gives you the opportunity to review the feedback together, and allows you to support and guide the participant to process the information in a constructive way.

Can the participant see their 360 results before I release them?

No. A participant cannot view their 360 results until you’ve released them. They’ll be notified via email when you do.

Can I retract 360 results that have been released?

No. Once 360 results are released they cannot be retracted, so it’s important to ensure the results are truly ready before releasing them.

Can feedback be provided after a 360 Assessment has been released?

No. Once 360 results are released, additional feedback cannot be provided by anyone. For this reason, it’s important that you confirm the results are truly ready before releasing them.
