What's New at Torch: May 2024

Article summary

We are excited to announce enhancements to the Torch Managed Coaching Platform!

New ‘Exercises’ Section in Torch Homepage for Managed Coaching

Exercises are action-oriented tasks for participants to asynchronously augment their coaching experience. This new section of the Torch Homepage for managed coaching programs moves some of the activities in the ‘Resources’ section to the ‘Exercises’ section.

Torch Homepage Program Overview for Managed Coaching

The new program overview layout at the top of the page provides additional information about the selected managed coaching or group coaching program.

  • The overview includes a link to a ‘Program overview’ resource which previously resided in the ‘Resources’ section at the bottom.

  • Coaches are shown more prominently next to the ‘Message’ button.

  • A progress bar at the bottom of the overview shows the remaining time in the program.

  • Group coaching participants will see the other members in their group.

Revamped Meeting Scheduling Layout

Scheduling and editing meetings is now more streamlined and responsive with this new layout.

  • The title, location, duration & description have been moved to the top of the page.

  • A reference to the participant’s program end date is included.

  • The date and time selectors will show an updated calendar and time selector.

Participant Action Item, Meeting Notification & Survey Timing Changes for Managed Coaching

  • Participants will now receive an email notification 1 hour before their scheduled meeting. The 48-hr reminder has not changed.

  • The coach compatibility survey (1st survey in the 1:1 managed coaching experience) will now be delivered after the first meeting, and the coaching experience survey (2nd survey in the 1:1 managed coaching experience) will now be delivered after the third meeting. This change ensures that the participant has had time with their coach before completing each survey.

  • Two new meeting action items have been added for participants when the first meeting has not been scheduled and when no future meeting has been scheduled.

Our scheduled maintenance frequency is changing to weekly updates. Our platform no longer requires extended downtime meaning you and your participants’ access to the platform will not be interrupted by these updates. Some maintenance such as security upgrades, performance upgrades, and bug fixes will be updated each week but will not require announcements through these release notes. View the latest maintenance schedule in the Upcoming Scheduled Maintenance page.
