What's New at Torch: August 2024

We’re excited to let you know about new enhancements to the Torch platform.

Introducing the Coaching Impact Report!

The new Coaching Impact report helps you assess the impact of coaching by giving you visibility into key participant outcomes at the end of your program. It combines quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to provide a holistic view into participants’ level of growth, top areas of improvement, and reflections on their coaching experience. You’ll have access to:

• Activity overview - View key metrics on the number of partnerships, average meetings per user, NPS, and coach satisfaction score along with the benefits participants gained from coaching.

• 360 assessment highlights - View the top 3 hidden strengths and hidden opportunities identified through participants’ 360 assessments.

• Coaching’s impact - Learn how your people made progress on their coaching goals and improved their leadership skills, including their top 5 most common areas of improvement.

• Participant feedback - Review qualitative comments about what your people say about their coaching experience.

This report provides a comprehensive review of your program’s impact by including data from 360 assessment results and coaching surveys, which are completed throughout a coaching program. As a result, this report works best when referenced once your program has ended.

Added action items and notifications for Manager Alignment Meetings

Manager alignment meetings are an opportunity for a coaching participant’s manager or other stakeholder within your organization to join a meeting with the participant and their Torch coach.

Ensuring your people take advantage of this opportunity to align on goals and objectives is often critical to your coaching program and the value your organization gets from it, so we’re focused on increasing awareness and adoption of this feature in 6-month and 12-month programs. To do so, we’ve added:

• An action item to “Schedule your manager alignment meeting” that will now populate on participants’ coaching dashboard 48 hours after their first meeting with their coach is complete

• An accompanying email notification that’s sent to participants’ inbox 48 hours after their first meeting with their coach is complete and includes a shortcut “Schedule meeting” button

• A follow up reminder email that’s sent to participants 1 week later if they still haven’t scheduled their manager alignment meeting

We’ve upgraded the Torch Video experience

We want your people to have an elevated meeting experience with their coaches, and we heard your feedback about how Torch meetings could be improved. With this in mind, we’ve transitioned to a new video provider that allows us to deliver better video and audio quality, increased meeting reliability, and ultimately an enhanced video conferencing experience to participants. We’ve also introduced new breakout rooms functionality for group coaching participants. 

All new coaching meetings your people schedule will now be in the new experience moving forward.
