Manage Learning Goals

Learning goals help you define what you want to accomplish throughout your coaching journey in partnership with your coach. Follow these steps to create a new learning goal, or edit an existing learning goal.
Note: The learning goals feature is only included in coaching partnerships started before April 30, 2025.
Create a new learning goal
1 Access your learning goals. From the Home dashboard, navigate to the Learning tools section. Under Growth activities, click Learning goals.
2 Create the new goal. Click Set new goal.
3 Add the details. Enter a title for your goal. In the Description textbox, add more details if desired, such as signs of success and how you will know the goal has been achieved.
Select a focus area for your goal from the dropdown.
Note: The focus area options relate to the Torch Leadership Assessment Domains by default. However, your organization may have defined custom learning areas.
4 Save your new goal. When you're done, click Save goal.
Repeat these steps for each additional learning goal you want to add.
Edit an existing learning goal
You can change the title and description of an existing learning goal.
1 Access your learning goals. From the Home dashboard, navigate to the Learning tools section. Under Growth activities, click Learning goals.
2 Choose the goal. Select the learning goal you want to edit.
3 Make your changes. Click Edit goal.
Make your desired changes to the title or description, then click Save goal.
