Follow these instructions to join a meeting with your coach from your calendar provider or from directly within the Torch platform.
NOTE: If you’re joining a meeting from a mobile device instead, we recommend turning off your camera and enabling “Low data mode” for the optimal mobile experience. |

To join from your calendar provider, open the meeting invite and click the meeting link. A new browser window will open automatically.
NOTE: You will be prompted to log in to the Torch platform if you are not already logged in. |
To join from the Torch platform, from the Home dashboard, click Join meeting in the Meetings section on the right.
NOTE: The “Join meeting” button will appear 15 minutes prior to the meeting start time. |

Click Join Web.

If this is the first meeting you're joining, click Request permissions. In the top-left of your browser, you'll be prompted to give torch.whereby.com access to your microphone and camera. Click Allow.

NOTE: You must allow access in order to use your audio and video during the meeting. If you initially blocked the access, you must go to your browser settings to update your permissions. |
If you want to test your equipment before joining the call, click Run test.

Follow the prompts to check your camera, speaker, microphone, and internet connection, then click Continue.
TORCH TIP: If your internet connection does not pass the pre-call check, toggle “Enable low data mode” to green first to lower the video resolution of the call for a smoother meeting experience. |

Before joining the meeting, you can use the dropdown menus if you want to change your selected camera, microphone, and speakers. You can also add a background effect and adjust your settings if desired.
When you’re ready, click Join meeting.

Upon joining the meeting, you'll have the ability to start and stop your video, mute and unmute yourself, share your screen, send reactions, and send chat messages.
From the Cam menu, you can switch your camera, change your background, and adjust your video settings if desired. From the Mic menu, you can switch your microphone and speakers, turn on noise reduction, and adjust your audio settings.

NOTE: You'll have access to the meeting room for up to 25 minutes after the scheduled meeting end time. |
