If you’ve received an invitation email for an upcoming meeting, you may need to manually add the meeting to your personal calendar, depending on your email provider. Follow these steps to learn how.
NOTE: You can complete these steps without logging in to the Torch platform. |
Open the meeting invite email in your inbox and locate the invite.ics file attached to the email.
If your email provider includes the option, click Add to Calendar to add the meeting to your calendar. You’re all set!
If your email provider does not include an “Add to Calendar” option, click Download to automatically download the file to your computer. Then follow the relevant actions below based on if you’re using an Apple calendar, Outlook calendar, Outlook Web calendar, or Yahoo calendar.
For Apple Calendars
Locate and double-click the invite.ics file you just downloaded. It will automatically open on your Apple calendar.
For Outlook Calendars
Open your Outlook calendar. Drag and drop the invite.ics file you just downloaded anywhere into your Outlook calendar.
For Outlook Web Calendars
Open your Outlook Web calendar. Click Add Calendar and from the dropdown menu, click From File. A window will open on your Outlook calendar. Click the Browse button, locate and select the invite.ics file you just downloaded, then click Save.
For Yahoo Calendars
Open your Yahoo calendar. Hover your cursor over the name of the calendar in the left sidebar, then click the downward arrow next to the calendar where you want to add the meeting. Click Import. Click Choose File, locate and select the invite.ics file you just downloaded, then click Import.
